In order to decrease freeze time, increase capacity, maximize efficiency and satisfy the needs of our clients, it was critical for D&D Foods, Inc. to expand its mechanical room by 2,000 square feet. Equally critical was selecting the best partner for the job. We chose LoTemp Equipment Company.

We became one of LoTemp’s first clients
about twenty years ago. We wouldn’t have stuck with them for

our plant has gone from a half-million cubic feet of freezer
space to 2.75 million cubic feet of freezer space. We have gone
from blast freezing 60,000 pounds of product a day to 300,000

We really saw what
LoTemp was able to do when they were asked to put a freezer
addition in our plant. Some re-engineering and new engineering
was required. Their work was first class. The experience was
a little bit like a fairy tale. From the contract phase to
materials, to construction to finally ‘turning it on,’
we really didn’t have to worry about a thing. I don’t
think there is a problem they can’t solve. They are
on the leading edge of refrigeration systems. The best value

incredible, from the engineers down to the mechanics. I’ve called
their mechanics at home several times, even when they were on
vacation, and they’ve always responded professionally. A few
years ago, we had equipment that was just beyond the warranty
period. LoTemp used their influence with manufacturers to get
our equipment under warranty. That saved us money. They didn’t

Taste Traditions is a food manufacturer under USDA guidelines, so our plant is required to maintain 40-degree temperatures. Meeting USDA guidelines is no easy task, especially when you are working with an antiquated refrigeration system. When we took over the plant, its refrigeration system was over 25 years old. It had to be re-built. With a project of that magnitude, we turned to LoTemp Equipment Company.
LoTemp brought Taste Traditions into the 21st century. Our plant now maintains temperature, and the efficiencies LoTemp installed have helped lower our energy costs. As a result, Taste Traditions is able to freeze its product quicker than before and move it out the door to a cold storage facility.
LoTemp was able to effectively assess Taste Tradition’s needs and create a plan to meet our needs. Equally important, LoTemp work is done on time, within budget and with no surprises.
